Viveed ("we", "us", or "our") is a browser-based screen and camera recording application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

a. Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This information is used solely to identify you within the application.

b. Recordings

Video and audio recordings are captured locally in your browser. If you choose to save a recording to Google Drive, the file is uploaded directly to your own Google Drive account via the Google Drive API. We do not store your recordings on our servers.

c. Analytics

We use PostHog to collect usage data such as page views, feature usage, and session duration. This data helps us improve the application. No recording content is included in analytics data.

d. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies to maintain your authentication session. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate you and manage your session.
• Upload recordings to your Google Drive when you choose to do so.
• Generate shareable links for recordings stored on your Google Drive.
• Improve the application through aggregated, anonymous analytics.

4. Google API Data

Viveed requests access to the drive.file scope, which limits access to only files created by Viveed. We do not access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., authenticating with Google) or as required by law.

6. Data Retention

Account information is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us. Recordings stored in your Google Drive are under your control and can be deleted directly from Google Drive.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via OAuth 2.0, and limited API scopes to protect your data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Revoke Viveed's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions.
